A few years ago I joined a well know slimming club where Llyn was working and she helped me get to my goal. When Lyn left, I went to different classes but it was never the same. I let my weight slide and started to put weight back on again.

I was feeling really fed up with being overweight. I started to blame everything for not being able to lose weight. Age, slow metabolic rate, not as active etc, but these are excuses we all make when we don't want to face the fact that we overeat and are out of control! What I really needed was the discipline of being weighed by someone again.

Then I saw Lyns advert for Slimlines and I knew from past experience if anyone could help me get my weight off, Lyn could. Her classes are brilliant, she makes everyone laugh but she always gives good sound nutritional advice and makes you want to get that weight off.

At Slimlines the philosophy is for you to enjoy your life to the full (hence the ‘free day') and Lyn always says ‘food put your weight on and food will get it off for you' One of the meetings really struck a chord with me when Lyn talked about how the French and Italian people eat. They really enjoy fresh food and shop every day for their food and they always buy fresh, unlike us who buy in bulk then throw half of it away at the end of the week! That had a big impact on me, now I try and do that and also try a new recipe a week!

The first few weeks I counted calories, using the basic calorie counter which gave me a good grounding and then started to do the portion control, which I still do. I never want to go back to my bad eating habits. I feel really great now I have reached my goal weight and can't thank Lyn and Slimlines enough. I even go in clothes shops trying on size 12's, just because I can!

I recommend slimlines to everyone.
