    Manager Sarah Wilson opened new meetings for Slimlines in the Doncaster area in 2007. Sarah who works as a nurse said, I was so thrilled with my 2 stone weight loss with Slimlines that I decided I wanted to help others to achieve their goal. I have completed the training programme and will be opening my meetings after Easter. I hope to help people to lose weight just in time for their Holidays. I love the Slimlines programme as it is so flexible, especially with the free day!

I had recently lost my husband and was over eating on chocolate, biscuits and literally anything. But as anyone know, it's a viscious circle!! The more you overeat the more depressed you become. I knew I had to do something about it and saw an advert in the local newspaper for lyn mulligan's Slimlines. I had know lyn from going to her when she had worked for someone else and I felt confident that with her I would get the weight off.

    Yvettes story Looking at photos from my son's graduation I realised I needed to lose weight. Also while on holiday, the mirrors were full lengh and I didn't like what I saw. The only problem was I knew I couldn't do it by myself. My sister said that she wanted to lose weight and had been to Slimlines before but didn't want to go by herself, so I said I would go with her. Lyn the manager explained that there were 2 weight loss options on the the first week then there were another 5 to choose from in the coming weeks!! I settled for the calories plus i used the 'go low' options food lists.The first week I lost 5lbs and i was thrilled!!I kept motivated because by going on the calorie control diet I lost weight quickly without a lot of effort! Also you have the optin of the free day or the free weekend which was great as you could have what you wanted on those days!I filled in my food diary religiously and also used the measuring spoons and cups which helps me realise my portions were well over the top!! and i knew i had other weight loss options to choose from if i got fed up!!My husband started to notice and commented often on how well I was doing and how good I looked. When i looked in the mirror ii really started to like what i saw! And for the first time I felt good about myself! In ten weeks i had lost 2 stone!! Going out to dinner with my family over Christmas, was the first time in years that I felt good in the clothes I wore! I never found it difficult at all and  once I put my mind to it the weight dropped off!  The boost it gives me is a real feel good factor.I have only a few pounds to go before i reach my goal and Im going to keep going until i get there!! i would recommend Slimlines to anyone who wants to lose weight and still enjoy their life!!

    I first started to put weight on seriously when I had a car accident at the aged of 19 and broke both of my legs, I went to university the year after and as anyone knows your first year is all party party party which inevitably lead to lots of drinking and takeaways. I ballooned up to 16 ½ stones (231 lbs) over the next 4 years had a really good social life which didn't help and which I wasn't prepared to give up.

I let my weight slide and stI was feeling really fed up with being overweight . I started to blame everything for not being able to lose weight. Age, slow metabolic rate, not as active etc. but these are excuses we all make when we don't want to face the fact that we overeat and are out of controlarted to putweight back on again!!!

    Looking back, the weight gain started when I left home and moved in with my boyfriend, we were both very comfortable and that's when I started putting on weight.  We love our food and would regularly order takeaways and go out for meals. I also started work at a call centre doing 12 hour shifts, the job was monotoonous andI looked forward to my break which consisted of eating!! snacks, huge lunches, bacon butties etc (the canteen was great!!!) And then I would go home to a large cooked tea and a few glasses of wine!! Also I didnt get much exercise which didnt help.  I went from a size 10 to a 12 then a size 14 and eventually I was looking at a size 16!!!  I remember thinking 'I will have to do something about this and lo and behold I found out I was pregnant which gave me another excuse to over eat!!! I have now lost 2 stone and have another 7lbs to go to get to my goal I am absolutely thrilled to get into my size 12's (very comfortably I might add!!!) I have now become a Slimlines manager and Iam helping other people to lose weight so not only have I got back into my skinny jeans but Im helping others to do the same!!!

    At Work Manager Kerry Howbridge. Says Kerry 'I joined Slimlines in 2006 after putting on quite a lot of weight after the birth of my children. I took to the Slimlines programme straight away and found it really easy to follow. I loved the 'free day' ides and I never felt guilty about taking it. Alsobecause one of the OPTIONS is calories, box, bottle etc has now got the calorie content in bold on the front of the packages, it couldnt be easier!!! The meetings were truly inspirational and the best fun ever!!! The manager was really helpful but didnt pull any punches either! The programme cuts out all the waffle and gets down to the nitty gritty!!! To lose weight you have to be totally honest with yourself!!  And because I found the diet so easy I wanted others to lose their weight but to encourage them to theirs too!  So I have now become a manager for Slimlines and am taking my first 'At Work' meeting and its brilliant!!! I have still got 2 stone to lose but I have every cofidence and I can do it. I will weigh in every week as usual with my members, not only to reach my goal weight to encourage them to get to theirs too!  I would advise anyone who has a weight problem to join Slimlines.     Founder of Slimlines In April of 2004 I became ill with heart problems and had to finish work. I had worked for 17 years in one of the biggest weight loss organisations in the world so I was absolutely astounded when this happened to me!! I had always eaten healthily and took a reasonable amount of exercise ( about an hours walk every day) I had 4 children to bring up and did 10 weight loss meetings so I led a really hectic life and this I am sure as a contributing factor.  At first I lost weight (I think this was due to my medication making me feel ill) but as I began to feel better, the pounds started to pile on! I wanted to cram everything into my life (literally) as I thought that I was going to pop my clogs at any minute! In a strange way being ill did me a favour and made me more aware of hoe precious life is and how we abuse our bodies with overwork and not looking after ourselves. I have alwaws struggled with my weight but over the past few years it became even harder as I became older and because and because I didnt have the disipline of a weigh in I really started to put on the pounds. So I decided to devise my own weight loss programme. I am a very down to earth person so I didn't want the programme to be difficult to understand. So I made it simple and straightfoward. But like I said earlier, I wanted to enjoy my life to the full and to be able to go out for meals and still lose weight, hence the 'free day diet' (see above page). I opened my first meeting in March 2006 and had my first weigh-in with my members. I cannot run weight loss meetings and tell everyone that I have a brilliant programme that works and be overweight myself!!! I have to put my money where my mouth is!!! After the first weigh in I knew I had to knuckle down and get this weight off, not only for myself but for all the members of  Slimlines who have put their faith in me.  Some weeks I would only lose 1/2 lb other weeks 1lb, some weeks I would stay the same. But my philosophy is take it steady, enjoy your weight loss and enjoy your life!! The majority of my members are knocking off the lbs at a rate of knots! But each person is different and as you get older it takes a bit longer but believe me you get there in the end.Now Iam 20lbs lighter and fell 500% better, I have another 20lbs to reach my goal weight. I live each day as it comes, and as long I am losing weight I dont mind how long it takes me.

    At about the age of 17 I began putting on the pounds. By the time my wedding came around at age 18 I had ballooned to a size 18!! And by the time I had my first baby at 24 I was 17 stone!! then I had another baby and I was that busy that I never give myself and my ever increasing weight another thought. Until we had a street part for the silver jubilee!! When looking at the photos afterwards I then realised how big I had become.

    With my first pregnancy I gained 4 stone and thought itwas normal. I did lose the weight quite quickly but then gradually my weight crept back up and before I fell pregnant with my second daughter I was already a stone heavier than I had ever been.  After my daughter was born in March 2006, I had my 6 week post natal and I weighed 11st 4lb. I decided I had to get back to my pre pregnancy weight and thats when I joined Slimlines. I now weigh 9st 6lb and I am 2 lb from my goal weight. I thought it was that great I'm now a manager and hold 4 Slimlines meetings a week. If I can do it anyone can.
